We just added a lawnmower blennie to our tank as we have been overcome with algae. However, since we added him 2 days ago, he has not been spotted eating anything at all! He is very active, he swims back and forth near the top of the tank ina vertical postion and 'looks around', but we have yet to see him eat any of the aglae of rocks or off the glass.
Is it possible that he wont eat the algae? SHoudl we try and take him back to the LFS and swap him out? Or just wait and he'll eat when he is hungry enough?
Thansk in advance for any advice...
Joe

javajoe,
When I first got my lawnmower (a.k.a eyelash) blenny, it took about 3-5 days before he seemed comfortable enough to start eating any algea.
Unfortunately he had a run in with my clown and was buried one night. Took me 3 days to find him under about 3 inches of sand.
