Lawnmower Blenny won't eat?

I got a Lawnmower Blenny last week and it eats very little. There is a lot long strings of algae and it won't touch the stuff. I also added some sheets with no success. The algae it did eat was thin and off the glass. Anyone have similar results? Thanks.

My LMB never ate the larger patches of algae. He usually just picked at small pieces. Hair algae? Remove as much as possible by hand and then he may take to the area.

Its not unusual for a LMB to go for other food such as diatom algae on the glass. After, most hair algae is diatom or closely related to diatom... If he is eating algae of any kind i would not worry to much about him.

If you see him grazing on the rock or window their doing fine as long as they are getting some form of algae that should be enough for it to eat. I saw mines eatting cyno the other day.

Lettuce is not nutritional. I haven't had one for awhile, but I am almost certain it also would go after the food fed to the other fish. I agree with the advice given. Pic of hair algea (cant remember whose pic it is)
