Do they get really aggressive? I was considering getting one for my 55gal reef sometime down the road. But if they get really aggressive then I wont bother with one.

My used to plow through hair algae. Now the only thing he eats is food that I feed all the other fish.
O well, still a cool fish.

Mine doesn't touch the stuff. He only eats off the LR and if its string algea he spits it rite out. Just my experience w/ my guy.

Mine's been in the tank for about 4 months, he did some major damage to the hair algae early on but now it's all gone so he's eating other things. He now chomps on algea growing on the glass. if I don't clean the glass for a few days you can see little kissy marks on it from where he's taking swipes at the algae.
He was about 1.5" when I added him, right now he's about 3" long and growing fast. He continually gorges on algea on the rocks and glass, I've never seen him without a full belly. My kids named him "Chomp" because of the way he goes headfirst into the rocks to eat algea.

Here's Oscar posing on the algae magnet when I got him in January of last year. The second pic he's posing on the magnet a year later.

Mine only eats in the evening---is that normal??? He doesn't toch anyhing until I turn off the 10000Ks then he starts munching. Not sure if that is just one of thier traits or if mine is just sensitive to light?????
