What do you guys feed your lawnmower blenny? I just added one to my 10g and was wondering if anyone has any recommendations on brand/type of algae sheet to feed my little guy? -Thanks!

Formula 2 or algae sheets, they will also eat algae off the glass and rocks. U can pretty much train them to eat whatever. Mine eats everything now.

I've seen him chomping at the glass a few times but I am afraid that he may not be getting enough to eat from that alone. There is a couple of small patches of green hair algae on my LR that he hasn't touched since I put him in about 2 weeks ago. (I thought they were supposed to be voracious hair algae eaters?!?)

Does it matter what type/color of algae sheet? I've seen red or green at my LFS.

My LMB eats anything I put in the tank. He eats shrimp, green, red, and brown algae. He eats flake and pellets too. He prefers green algae though.

Buy alage sheets at the grocery store (Roasted dried seaweed) way cheaper 2.00 bucks, they need alage to survive.

Algae sheets at the grocery store!?! Wow, don't know how I passed those by over the years, sounds tasty!
Maybe my blenny and I could share our dinner

Thanks!

For some odd reason my LM only eats alage off the rocks....I was woried for a awhile until I noticed every night between 7 and 7:15 he will come right up the the front of the tank, sit on the sand and take a massive

[hr]
. I guess not only is he getting enough to eat, but is regular.

It took the longest time for mine to adapt to eating anything but the algae in the tank. Now he eats out of my hand. With only a 10 gallon one you will need to use algae -seaweed sheets of some kind. Good luck with him they are great fish.. Warren
