Leak testing a new tank

HI Gang,
My new and very first sw tank is arriving Friday. It is a Biocube 29. I want to leak test the tank before adding live sand etc.... I live in the San Diego area and our tap water here is high in mineral content. Is it ok to fill the tank with this tap water for a leak test only? Or should I use a different type of water for the leak test RO/DI?

I can't think of any reason not to use tap water fora leak test. Don't make it too cold or you could get condensation on the glass and it will look like a leak.
