Leaping clownfish: a new tank maintenance routine

I was doing tank maintenance today and my clown would not stop biting me. Then, when I was doing maintenance outside of the tank the clown would come to the surface and spit water at me. Finally, I guess it decided it wanted to get me one more time and leaped out of the tank into my shirt. Crazy clownfish!!
I also dropped my MP10 dry side into my water change water for like 5 seconds. I'm not sure if the pump will still work. On another note, I ordered a Jebao WP40.

That's crazy. lol.
BTW, if you could, let me know how that Jebao WP40 powerhead works out for you. I'm researching powerheads and that one seems pretty good for the price. The only thing that a lot of people complain about is the light sensor. But, I'm not that picky. lol

Will do!! I'm picking it up on June 15th. I was able to get in on a group buy of them with my reef club, so I got it a little cheaper than the list price.

LOL...I'm not sure I would want to keep a devil clownfish that hated me that much. It bites and spits, then tried to physically assault you, but only managed to jump into your pocket. (aiming for your throat???) I would be tempted to tell him that...my pocket was it's new home...enjoy.

Same goes for my male clown, come to the surface and wants to attack. Every time I do a water change and clean the tank I have to bag him and float him in the bag till I'm done. The female is fine unless I come close to the nest. But she has never bit me.

I am starting to not like clowns... I have been without any clowns in my big tank for almost 6 months. I don't really miss them.... Well, that's not totally true... I miss the color, but not the PITA part of them trying to bite me.
Gemmy, sounds like you have a pervert clown.

And everyone wonders why I have a such low opinion of clownfish, and damsels in general...our fish may all be venomous, but they LOVE seeing us come to the tank, and definitely don't bite.

Today is obviously a "slow forum day"...

Hi Flower, how you been? How are the horses? I'm going to be a grandpa for the second time, my daughter just told this weekend.

Hi!!! Congratulations....

My son has informed me he and his beloved are also pregnant...#13 is in the oven...1 to 100, it never gets old to be a grand parent! I think the first one will always be special. I couldn't handle 6 children, the 3 I had was a hand full and then some. My son and daughter I think are in competition. As a Nana who gets to love on them (AKA, spoiling them) and send them home...it's pretty sweet indeed.
