leather coral question

i purchased a leather coral about 2 months ago, it has a growth on the side of it almost the size of a golf ball with a small hole on it, it opens and closes sometimes and once and awhile the leather will close up and it actually looks like its sheading skin is this normal. Thanks

you dont have to "take it out and buy a new one" can you post a pic so that i can get a better understanding of what your concern is. (remember you can treat things or at least try to before you let them die or kill them hajj)
