leaving town for work for a few days

this bites I have to go out of town and stay for a couple days in the nether regions of maine. I just shipped out a bunch of corals and I wont even know if everything went well untill thursday. no internet, no SWF

my tanks are going to be in the care of my automated systems, and my fiancee, everytime I leave town something bad happens to my tanks.
but the fishing should be good after work.
lets all pray for no problems.

no problems. thanks to auto top off and convincing my GF she does not need to feed my tanks while I am gone. she didnt even scrape the glass. I told her "the less you do the less chance there is of something going wrong".
she's so good. she did unpack a ricordea that came in and got it into the tank for me.

I'm actually trying to use any little extras I make to catch up on last winters residual bills.
like OIL

I hate oil heat. winters coming up awful quick.
but on a good note I got a few of the parts for my up and coming frag tank. new VHO ballast, and a refractometer (yes I am just now buying a refractometer).

yeah this winter will likely be worst to with the prices of oil and thinking were in for a bad/long winter

I'm back for the weekend but need to leave again monday. I miss my fish tanks. good news though my ballast and selcon arrived, but my refractometer was backordered.

oh yeah I came home and my girlfriend had taken in two more vectors for cross contamination (kittens) pure white, with blue eyes and deformed nub tails. totally flea ridden with earmites no shots.
leave town for just a couple days now I have more cats.......

ugh. the drive. the effort getting my tools over to the island. crappy bed. I miss my home already and I'm not leaving for several hours yet.

definatly.
I forget how awe inspiring the natural sights can be, and then I take a few pictures and remember that I am pretty much surrounded by views like this all a short drive from where I live. its easy to take it all for granted.

I get a real kick out of the mushroom next to the outhouse. its was so pituresque I couldnt resist snapping the shot. in the picture of the out house you can see it to the lower left of the outhouse (upper left in the picture because I am a twit and forgot to turn the picture before loading it to here)

Oh, it's an outhouse. I thought that's where you had to sleep. Ya know crappy bed and all
