Just got the Acan 600 series LED's. They have white, blue and color. Has anyone perfected a schedule yet? I have 7 different time adjustments as well as 0-100% settings for all 3 colors (white, color and blue).

I have a schedule but IDK if it will work with your unit. I use and alternative lighting schedule: Dark during the day and lighted at night. This fits my viewing of the tank better. You could adjust and just start at your desired time you want the "sun to raise".
I am currently using the " New Lighting Schedule". This is my schedule for my Reefbreeders Photon 32's.
Hope this helps.

Thanks so much for your reply. It is helpful. The Acans I have use three channels white, blue (moon), and colors (red, green, yellow and I believe orange). When I get home I'll post my current schedule. We can compare. Thanks again.

My Pleasure!! I have read that the Acan's are pretty decent lights. This schedule was/is my final "full power" schedule. Careful if the Acan's are newly over the tank to start you max power at like 25%-30% and higher and you could fry your coral. It took me 6+ months of light acclimation to get my Photon's up to 100% (blue channel only, I like a 18000K-20000K look) and 85%. I would gradually add more power to each time once a month to allow the corals to get used to the higher PAR numbers that these LED's put out. You should be able to dial back the percentages on my schedule to get what you need. Then just have a plan to bump it up every couple of weeks, or once a month. LMK if you have any other questions.
Happy Reefing!!

Hi Sweatervest, When I'm done explaining, hopefully, at the bottom of this post you'll see my lighting schedule with percentages of intensity. I've had the Acan's for a few months now and have slowly built up to my current levels. I've experienced NO coral burn and everyone seems very happy. Disregard the time schedule as everyone sets it to their own viewing habits. I'd like to hear your thoughts on the white/color mix as well as the length of time in each mode. The 100% moon (11 P.M. to 10 A.M.) I set to 'lunar" which automatically starts a 30 day cycle from new to full moon. It's cool to watch. The actual model is #600-18 if you'd like to see exactly how many of each LED there are. I'm using 2 of them on my 55. Look forward to your opinion. Thanks again, Art

I can't believe I was able to do this!! I'm not the sharpest computer knife in the drawer.

Sorry for the delay dude. That schedule looks pretty good. Just make sure that the corals can take 75% power. You will be the best judge of how everything is reacting.
My only suggestion is if you can have smaller increases in power to get to the max 75% try that. Idk if your unit will let you put more incremental steps in over a time period. The unit I have lets me program every hour or half hour.
Let me know how the corals are adjusting.

Hi Sweater, Thanks again for your input. So far the 75% for 6 hours is being accepted well. I'll watch it closely. I'm allowed 7 different time settings with these lights, but I'll look at creating a slower progression. I will say that the lights are awesome and the growth is noticeable in just a few short months. I'll try and post some picks soon. P.S. Fishtank, I'm not about to get rid of $1000 lights that are 3 months old to try your suggestion.

Oh and I would not be trusting anyone who puts their skype ID on their first post to a new forum. LOL.
