My tank has been up and running now for about 6 months and I would like to add something new. I was thinkin a lemonpeel angel. The tank is a 26 gallon bowfront reef with 1 maroon clown and 1 diamond goby. Do you think this is a compatable addition?

The lemonpeel would live in your tank but would become very aggressive toward the other fish due to its cramped condition. It would most likely kill your other fish.

I have a lemonpeel angel in my 60 w/ my maroon, and the angel was harassing the clown the whole time, chewing its fins and chasing him around. I used a mirror to distract the angel for some time, and he left the clown alone. Right now the angel doesn't chase the clown around much. But in a 26 gallon I wouldn't recommend these two together, cuz there's less space and more chances of territorial war to occur.

I dont know green chromis just dont do it for me. They remind me of damsels(which I hate). Is there no fish with bright colors that will live peacefully in my reef?

fairy wrasse, midas blenny, firefish, yellow coris wrasse (if you dont mind him eating your cleanup crew) yellow assessor (if you can find one) sunburst anthias, royal gramma, yellow clown goby are all beautiful fish that stay small. maroon clownfish are aggressive though, esp. as they get bigger so I would be wary of him attacking a newcomer. rearrange your rock before a new addition to break up the territory if possible.
and if you decide to go the green chromis route, I KNOW that you wont regret it. they are the most intense beatiful irridescent greenish blue color. dont count them out. not many green fish to choose from in general and they really do fit the bill for a small peaceful reef safe colorful fish.

I disagree on the chromis. Not that they don't look nice but adding 3 chromis to your bioload would be pushing a bit too much IMO. Your maroon clown limits you with the choices IMO. You don't want a war between the newcomers and your maroon but at the same time you don't want your maroon to kill the newcomers either. Clown gobies are really interesting and they tend to stay small. I have 1 clown goby and 2 false perc in a 20 and they are living peacefully. But maroon is different than false perc. Firefish are nice too, so you may also consider that as one of your choices.

i have a lemonpeel living fine with a maroon clownfish pair but in a much larger tank. flame hawkfish, royal or blackcap grammas, orchird or purple dottybacks and golden wrasse are very colorful fish for smaller tanks. like any of these?
