I am trying to decide how long the light has to be for my corner. I've seen different pictures of everyones tank and they don't always have the light across the entire top. Due to mine being a corner tank, it has some odd dimentions so I could really use some input from everyone here. I have included a picture of the top of the tank with the dimentions. From the front corners it is 48 inches across but I know that is too big because the light will hang over the side. The main area is 36 inches across and this seems like the logical size for the light but it will cover some of the acrylic. The opening in the middle of the tank is about 21 inches so I thought I may be able to do a 24 inch light, and still provide plenty of light for the tank (a reef so going with MH and some PCs). Thanks for the help with this.
