Flame tails look very similar to bi colors only they are much darker and can go completely black.
 
....are you serious? not cool. It was a normal looking bicolor but now you guys got me wondering. I'll take a look at it's eyes when I go home this weekend. Btw...he is still a blenny right? o.o

Yes, it's definitely a blenny, so don't worry about the name, LOL, which by the way, I LOVE!
Although it is rare, Bicolors can loose their coloring for a variety of reasons (some unexplainable, which is probably what yours is). Proper ID on what type of blenny you have is really key though. Different types of blennies have very different nutritional needs and behaviors.

the yellow tail or black blenny is very similar to the bicolor. same care, etc. same family. also in that family is the midas. escenus or whatever.
bicolors are my favorite fish. very friendly, awesome personality, and gorgeous.
