Well after 2 months of not eating Leo finally croaked. Never could figure it out. Ate frozen, freeze dried etc for 7 months then went off feed. Tried live food (damsels) in main tank and the damsels disappeared but never saw Leo eat them. ( I suspect the wolf eel
) He would stretch him mouth from time to time as lions will so I don't think he broke his jaw. Never saw any red spots, splotches, white spots. Nothing that was suspect. So moved Leo to his own tank with converted mollies in case competition was too much for him. Leo didn't eat and I have 35 baby mollies. LFS said try ghost shrimp. Why not? Placed them in the tank. Leo watched them swim by with no reaction. The "freshwater" shrimp are still alive. Alas, yesterday Leo gave it up and went to the big reef in the sky.
I at least have some consolation that I tried everything I could think of.
