Leopard Shark Woes

Has anyone else heard that leopard shark pups are no longer allowed to be collected for the trade? Any leopard caught has to be aleast 3'. Too many gravid females have been killed just to get 6-8" pups. A sad thing considering that leopards make great tank animals if given the right conditions.

That is true, but there are still dealers that have babies. I bought 3 that are no longer than 5 inches. They are larger now though. So many people are killing mothers and cutting out the babies hence the reason for the law. Some people wont sell to you if they dont know you, due to that law.

I have heard of that, but 3'' is really small

3 inches is indeed very small. 3 feet is not.....especially for a home aquarium.

I'm an idiot....three feet is right, I thought that was inches when I scrolled through kinda quick, sorry.

I was trying to explain the correct volume for the average water change a while ago and i meant to use percent but i used gallons. Really made me sound like i didn't know what i was talking about at all.
