Back to his comment of "What's wrong with a 150gal for now and doing 1500 later?" (not the actual quote) but the answer is this: Too many people say they are going to upgrade and then when the time comes they can't afford it or just don't do it cuz of a change of heart or something. I know, it happenend to me. And I also know that you're probably thinking "Yeah, but not me." But time changes the mind of man and that's a lot of time to still feel that way. Or better yet, something more important comes along that you absolutely need the money for (car accident, house damage, whatever it be you get the point) and what happens is the now getting larger shark must stay in his smaller tank. So although I don't believe in keeping sharks, this is why others say that if your going to do it then get the larger tank first. Also, if you are new to this then don't start with a shark. Especially this one. Just my 2cents...HTH

All sharks belong in the sea. The cost of buying a tank, wasting huge amounts of water, spending it on what is a huge electrical cost for all equipment is super bad. Not only are you going to kill the environment more, you are helping to kill a hard to keep species. Let them be in the ocean or educational institute where they serve better needs. ;)
