lesson learned

I have 2 LFS that I deal with, the funny thing is that the people that work in the LFS worked together at the same LFS and are good friends. So I bought the anemone at one, but exchanged it at the other. The one I bought it at would take it back, but for free, no credit. I figured I would rather loose 30$ (which I know is a crazy price) and have my tank safe, and the anemone alive than loose the 30$, have the anemone die and who knows what else in my tank. So I exchanged it for a pink feather duster that cost $15 at the other LFS. And after talking with him for a while, I know I made the right descision. He said that not only does the anemone need an established tank, it needs more room. I told him it was peaceful and reef safe, and he said I was right BUT I have a nano. The anemone wouldn't have enough room to get out of everyones way and would end up stinging all my coral.
So my lesson learned is not only do I have to do the research, but then I have to apply it to my NANO. things change a bit with the nano. But at least nothing died and I'm only out $15 and not $30 and I have the feather duster I wanted anyway. Here's a picture, not a good one, but oh well.
