Not a coco worm, looked just like my green one, only yellow.

Yep, I have a red Coco but wanted a yellow but I found out that I would be waiting a long time to get one and it would be expensive. I have been trying to get a yellow feather duster too and I can't seem to find one.

3 weeks ago purchased feather duster. 3 days ago the feather fell off! Yesterday a long brownish worm type came out of duster tube. It's under and anomine now. Please advise if you have had this situation or know what is going on! Thanks Bob

Dusters will throw their crowns (the feathers) if they are stressed. They will also jump out of their tube if they are stressed or don't like where you have placed them. If it doesn't get eaten first it will build a new tube and grow a new crown.

Ha! My first coco worm jumped ship too, but it wasn't because he was stressed! My Barnacle Blenny decided that he wanted to live in his tube, so he kicked him out! My purple Lobster ate him that night, so I had to get a new one.

Awesome pictures everybody!

I'm not sure about the tube, but when mine throw their crowns I usually see new feathers peeking out in a week or so.

I got a yellow duster! He's really small, and has some purple spots in his radioles(sp?), but he's still really neat!
I also got a yellow and purple spotted one, he's awesome!
Sorry for the really, really bad quality pic...
