05xrunner nice tank. What kind of light are you using right now because I also have 75gallon but I'm trying to turn it into simple reef tank too, but I'm looking for a light.
Thanx

Thanx, but I do't really know that much of the lighting. I also have 75 gallon that I want to turn into just like you have simple reef tank but I don't know what light is good or best to get. I have an idea that I want for my light is called USA Current Outer Orbit MH with T5 light bulb. What do you think about this type of light can you tell if you don't mine how much did it cost for the lighting that you have. Also how much flow rate do you have in the tank and that PVC pipe what is that. Are you using sump or wet/dry filter if so what type of pump/gph are you using.
Thanx
Jay

if you get the OuterOrbit with the T5 you will be able to keep anything you want. Very good light.
I have about 2000gph now but thats going to go up more since I have SPS now. I am looking to get around 35-40x turnover. The PVC is for my hang on back fuge. I dont have a sump since my tank is not drilled. I dont trust those overflows.

I see thanx. Also what kind of powerhead would you suggest a good one to get. Because as of right now I only have 3 powehead: 2 maxjet 1200 series which ony give you 295gph and also a Hydro Korilla the 1200 series too which give you 295gph for my 75 gallon. And I want to bring my flow rate up higher because I getting a lot of build-up debri behind my LR and under my LR, which I'm tired of looking at it. What would be a good suggestion way to re-arrange my LR so that I don't get a debri build-up before I start place coral and get my tank stable. I don't have any sand bed in my 75 gallon. Sorry for hitting you so many question. I'm trying to learned how to do simple reef tank, which I'm having trouble right now specially keeping my cal. level stable because it keeps up and down.
Thanx
Jay
