ok, thanks for clearing that up. sorry for drowning you in questions, i promise, this is the last one. i was reading reviews on the camera on a site and one person said that you have to look through that glass viewer thing, and you cant look at the screen while taking pics. you can look at them after you do take the pic though. is this ture?

yes..its a DSLR with a true mirror. There is no live sensor..the sensor is only exposed when you press the shutter button. the LCD is to change settings and review pics only.

:hilarious i just found that exact lense for 48 dollars plus 8 dollars shiping on the great bidding site. but there is only 1 day left and the camera savings is low. i can offord the lense, just not the camera.
if i do get it, it will dirve me crazy just looking at it for about three months. :hilarious

ok, so heres a newb question. for the canon 28-105 f3.5-4.5 lense, can you take everyday shots of people?

28mm is just wide enough to work indoors. The 105mm will make it conveniant for most other things. The lens will work well in most areas, a specialist in none, great beginner lens.
(Specialized lens is something like Canon Super Wide Angle EF-S 17-55mm f/2.8. Notice the low f stop-2.8).
So I'd say yes, it'd be good for everyday shots. Just make sure your getting what your reading about for $48, if you are, sweet find.

thanks for all the info. the 48 dollar one was the good kind but the auction is over. so i guess i will get just the body and the lense listed above. now the long wait to acually get the camera. lol
