lethargic snails

has anyone else found their astreas are more active than their ceriths? i bought ten of each about 14 hours ago and several ceriths are just kind of hanging around.

I've always noticed, and read, that ceriths are pretty "laid-back" as snails go.
They can also be sensitive to a number of chemicals that are commonly used to treat marine tanks.
Have you notice a spike in ammonia, nitrites, or nitrate?
They are a bit sensitive to high levels of these too.

i only see my ceriths at night. when the lights are on they burrow underneath the sand.
