Jay on my 75 I have a wet dry hob with skimmer in it. I do use a few bio balls and a sponge on top of the wet dry to help clean out what the skimmer didn't get. Also have Emperror 400 no bio wheels change the filter every month. 3 " fine argonite sand bed 3 mj 1200 ph 2 with the rotaing water flows. I did have 260 w coralife pc's but just got a 560 total w 300 mh and 260 atinic system it made a world of diff. I have about 100 to 125 lbs live rock.
The tank has been up for over a year. I was testing once a month but have slacked off a little as of late and I never have anything all measures 0 calcium of 450 I do dose this as it goes down.
