i have had my tank for about a year and a half..... everything seems to be in check. i am currently keeping... a colt, goniapora, torch, frogspawn, zoos, shrooms, hammer, hydnophora, and a BTA...all are well and seem fine. in the near future i will be upgrading to a 125g, and will then be obtaining some halides... but will it be fine for a few months???

Nice birdy, looks like you did a good job on it.
Kip-would you consider keeping a squamosa clam about as hard as a monti-caps, for now anyways. I know I haven't had it but about a month and a half, but it has grown over a quarter inch in that time.

Definitly get cool stuff tradin'.
How are they like apples and oranges. I have had my tank up reef for 8 months. I keep everything pretty good, calcium 430ppm alk 10-11, and ph always stays 8.2-8.4. Drip kalk everynight and add calcium and dkh buffer every couple days. I am pretty confident in it.

Actually I have a monti digi in my tank now. When I ordered my clams etc. the guy threw it in as a freeby. It's about 4" tall with about 4-5 1 1/2" branches, polyps are extending good, only bad thing is I have had it for about a month and it has lost most of it's color under the vho's kinda turning brown, but hopefully tonight my halides will be here. It has nice new growth, white tips. It used to be kinda bluish purple. The reason I ask all this is because before I spend big money on a caps or something I need to know.

Ok, so if I can keep this for awhile with good growth would you say go for any other monti? Maybe mine will be the purple like yours:D .
So whata bout acros, porites, mill. etc. They are quite a bit harder than montis right?
