I know I just posted this but I'm a sucker for tank pics. Here's mine, 180 gal. w/140 lbs of LR, purchased on 5 separate occasions.

That large piece is going to be somewhat difficult to work around in a smaller tank. You may want to consider breaking it up into 2 or 3 smaller pieces. Just a suggestion though, if you like it that way, by all means keep it.
If you do want to break it down you can use a hammer and chisel and just kind of see what happens. If you have an idea of where you would like it to break, you can drill guide holes and just use the chisel in between the holes to finish breaking the rock.
When my live rock came it was approx. 25 lbs and was in two big pieces that wouldn't even have fit into my tank (16 gal. bow front). I used a hammer and chisel to break it up into smaller pieces that were easier to work with. I left one piece rather large and used it in the middle of my tank as a base for everything else. I tried to keep most of the other pieces around 5-7", but did have some smaller pieces that are nice for filling in where a bigger piece won't work.
The first picture is of the two pieces of rock as they came and each piece was on its side in a good size Rubbermaid container. The second picture is of the rock after I broke it down and arranged it in my tank. The pictures are from last year, but at least it gives you a good clear view of the rockwork.

AlohaMI that is some nice work. I think I will keep mine the way it is. First of all because I know that once I get to working on it I will probably mess it up, and what I was going to do was since the big rock is on the right side I was going to put the other small pieces on the left side so the fish can pick where they want to go, and can have different terratories that arent close together.

Thanks! I've had to move the rock several times since then, but that arrangement is still my favorite.
I was afraid of messing it up too when I had to break mine up, but I had to get over it and just do it or it would have never fit in my tank. lol.
You should be fine leaving the one big if you get some smaller pieces to work around it. Just try not to get them too small or all you will end up with is a pile of rubble. Go for a variety of sizes and some different shaped pieces if at all possible. Having different shapes and sizes to choose from will really help you when it comes time to aquascape. If you can find a flat piece it will work great for making a cave.
Good luck! Can't wait to see it when you get it done.

Also after awhile do they get any color like the other have? Any red colorations? One more question I have a brain that I just put on one of the live rock pieces, it started to spread awhile ago on the small piece of LR it was already on, do you think it will eventually spread on the big piece I put it on?
