thats a turkey lionfish as they call them.. was he sold to you as that or as a volitan?
also i noticed you had a 58 gallon tank so when he outgrows that tank and if you dont upgrade you can always send him my way

Could you please expound a little bit more on the "turkey lionfish" name? I just did a real quick search for that, and found that it is another common name for a Volitans Lionfish. I'm not doubting you in the least bit, but more info would be much appreciated. And yes, it was sold to me as a Volitans.
Yes i currently have a 58g tank. I'm sure when he does get large enough, i won't have any problems getting him a tank that he would feel more comfy in. I'm always on the lookout for a larger tank. If i do have to rid him earlier than expected, you will have first dibs on "Hoss"... as my wife calls him.

Nice pics everyone!! A few years from now, my goal is to set up a 210 (we'll see, though). I DEFINITELY want to add a lion!

Unfortunately I dont have this guy anymore. I learned the hard way not to keep a Humu Humu trigger with lions, but he was my pride and joy for over 2 years. Was about 8-9 inches long when he died...
