Thats what it looked like. Two of mine died because their "head" fell under the water.

We added a lot more rock and SPS recently and did a slight reaquascape. My husband is always moving things around, trying to find the best spot of certain corals, etc.
I was right!
What a nice guy thinking about helping the corals.

nice tank bullitr. big and heavily stocked up just the way I like them. JUst wondering about your lunar wrasse in there. How big is he and is he destructive as hell? How do you manage to keep shrimp in there with him? I have a 7" one that has been in my tank for 3 years and he is terrible. Flips frags over(even superglued down ones), gobbles up most of the food at eating time, splashes water all over the room,me and the lights, kills any new additions, won't let me feed my anenome or eel with out having to fight him off with a long algae scraper and is impossible to catch. When they say these dudes aren't reef safe they mean it. But he does look really cool with the fluerescent green and pink face and those long purple streamers. I guess that is why I haven't gone full bore trying to get him out.

How long have you had the M. Idol? Feeding etc... Really nice tank too...
Nice Coral line growth. About how big is that brittle star in the one pictures?, Looks good size.

Sorry, I missed you...I was looking at all the tank pictures and realized you posted a question...the star is huge, the disc is about the size of a silver dollar, it has never eaten any fish, at least none has been missing.
Lots of folks say they are killers. I must admit that if a fish is weak and dying he will eat it. he is my best CUC critter so I leave him be. I will not have to worry about an ammonia spike from a decaying critter while its on the prowl.
There is another one in the tank almost as big, I feed them a chunk of shrimp once a week (most of the time nothing has died for them to eat).

Yes he is a big boy. I believe tank raised produces bigger fish. He loves his mysis BUT strangle enough he eats dry food. (Nutrafin Max)
