No matter what I do I cannot get the nice clarity. Maybe it is my camera? Sony DSC-P71 3.2 mega pixel 3x optical 6x digital.

Great picture and regal! How old is he? Im thinking of getting a 2'' one for my 75. Then get a 180 once I get my job this summer. Of course i've gotta QT him for 6-8 weeks because the first time I got one remember what happened?

I learned that you MUST qt all new fish. :scared:

...and this one makes a sweet framed 8x10....I actually have a niece that may get "Dory" for her next birthday. She makes a bee-line for the aquarium everytime she comes over.

NM reef- How fast has your regal been growing? Ive heard some people say only 1-3'' a year but then heard someone say their's grew like 6'' in one year.

I've never heard them called Regal Tangs before. I always called them Hippo Tangs. Anyway, here's mine. 5 1/2" and growing.

Latin name is Paracanthurus hepatus ...commonly known as regal or hippo tangs.
Mine has grown les than 3" per year and is currently maybe 6"-7"...a few very minor ich problems...overall a very nice addition in my opinion.
