my orange is in my 55gal reef. It's been set-up for over two years. Linkias can be very sensitive to fluctuations in water quality and even the oils on your skin can harm them. How old is your tank?

well it's my understanding the most bulletproof stars are chocolate chip stars. But if you have a reef you can forget it. I'd be patient, wait about a year or so and get an orange Linckia.
I have had my tiger brittle for over 2 years..he was in a 29 gal for most of that time..just recently got the 75 and now he resides there...I am sure he loves the room! I want one of those blue linkia bad! Can you have more than one star in 1 75? I would think so.
Yes, but the Linckia has very specialized needs in terms of feeding (it can not be spot fed and requires a lot of LR, unlike the brittlestar). So the tank may simply not be suitable for it - certainly not a blue, IMO.

I have over 100# of LR..my 75 is only a little over 2 months old though. My brittle was easy to take care of, he would even come out and eat for me when i fed the other fish. I would spot feed him too sometimes. I want a blue linkia bad but I will read up before I get one..IF I get one... I do try and make informed decisions when choosing my tank's inhabitant's. I had my 29 for over 15 years with much success. even though I used a lot of "old school" methods". Now with my 75 I have tried newer things. we'll see ...
. ive had it for over 2 years and have been told by the "star" authority they dont last much past 18 months.....but it's still slowly moving around the tank.
