Marijuana users always bring up that and that it was grown in the form of Hemp throughout the 1800's as s ource for goods. What they fail to realize is, while it was grown, it was never smoked until introduced by immigrants in the early 1900's. It was banned to help curb immigration in hopes of maintaining a job market for "white" america. Purely racial in it's intial banning. Which was wrong in my opinion.
