anyone ever fed their fish lettuce? I saw at the zoo's aquarium they put a whole head of the stuff for the ficsh to pick at. Would it be ok to just put some in and let them pick at it for like 10 minutes then pull it out?

Lettuce is a great food, but you should offer the right kind. Iceberg has NO nutritional value. Romaine on the other hand does. Dandelion Greens are great too. Look into the nutritional values of some different greens, and you can find one you like. Depending on the greens, a par blanch is good for easiness of consumption by fish.

Absolutely. NORI is a Great food. Lots of nutrients, and it comes dried insheets at any grocery store. If you want to get it real cheap. Go to China Town. Seriously.
