What creatures may prey upon a helpless lettuce nudibranch? I am particularly concerned with crabs.

Thanks a bunch, I feel better. Although I am now watching my predatory powerheads very carefully!

Most nudis probably die before anything can get a chance to eat them , never heard of somebody talking about a critter eating them.

Lettuce slugs prefer Bryopsis. Next would be Chaetomorpha followed by any type of Caulerpa and lastly other types of macro algae.
They are able to seperate the chromatophores from the algae and use them to produce sugar for food. Without light they can't do that.

I agree. You need to cover intakes and overflows with sponge, nylon, or some other type of filter or your nudis will eventually get sucked in.
