Leveling Built In's

:help: Help! I was planning on putting my new 75gal on a built in counter in the den and now that is is in place I notice that one side is off by a 1/2 inch. I have found alot of info on leveling a stand but nothing on leveling on a built in counter. I was thinking of building a platform out of 1x12's and 2x4's and then leveling that with shims and foam. Anybody have any thoughts on this or any other ideas on what I should do?

Not sure how the counter was installed. May want to re-install it. Make sure it will support the tank.
Is the counter sunk into the wall like a shelf/ninch or sticking out ?? If it sticks out then I would not trust it. Either way you may want to reconsider because with a normal stand or with a fishroom or space behind or under a built in you can hide the equipment.....

Dont laugh but have you considered using a leveling concrete, Ive seen it used before on large stands.

Thanks The counter is just like the ones in the kitchen. I'm sure it will hold up to the weight because my grandfather built it all 2x4's and 3/4 plywood. The counter top is laminate over mdf. I added more supports under the mdf just to be safe. No chance of reinstalling it's 20 ft long and anchored to the wall with lag bolts. Strange for a den I know but, the den use to be my grandmas art studio.
