LF rubble cause small ammonia reading?

I just added a small fuge to my tank and I have about 8 lbs of rubble and some alge growing in it , would that cause a slight jump in ammonia it has been at 0 for the last 3 months ?Now it reads .25

A small amount of rotting food will cause that. If it goes higher then worry but sublte readings of ammonia often happen. Do a water change if you are very worried.

Yes the rubble was cured I will keep an eye on it I am waiting for my RO/DI unit to show up I have been using tap water but recently learnd that was not to smart every time I think I am done I learn I need something else$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

:) welcome to the reality of salt :)
You don't have to buy one btw. Any lfs worth their business carry a good working RO unit you can buy water from.

Ya I thought about that but I like having it at my disposal Iam sure it will pay for itself in the long run.
