We have a picasso trigger and he is pretty small. I've heard lots of stories of them getting more agressive as they get bigger. So far, we've had good luck.

My fuzzy dwarg got all of his top gins bitten off by a damsel..... The damsel lived fine and showed no signs of being poisoned. Gamedawg, are you writing from experience?

Lionfish can also be extremely friendly; and when the feeders hand is in the tank moving rock etc. they will come right up too you. It's not that they're trying to attack; they're just being friendly and coming to see what your doing. If you have a major concern with being stung get your wife or friend to hold a small net in the direction of the lion; opposite to where you want to do your work, and he shouldn't bother you. If I had an allergy to stings I would just be extra cautious. We recently just added a fair sized Volitan into our 90GL.

I'd be more worried about a Grouper biteing than a Trigger or Lion...
But then if your truly worried about "scratchs, stings, bites and getting chewed on"...perhaps an "Aggerssive/Predator" tank is not for you...

AtlFish, lions are great fish to own. Like it's been said, they are very placid. I had 2 in my 180G(sadly one just died recently
) with an untold amount of LR. I rearranged it all 1 day and my biggest concern was not getting stung, but accidently smashing one. Now you wanna talk about an aggressive fish, my Sailfin tries to bite me every time I go into the tank lol. Actually it only does it till it realizes it's a hand and not food. It did bite me once and hurt like the dickens!
