LFS in Michigan

To be totally honest with you Leigh, I did not price any corals, but like I said the fish that I did see seemed over-priced to me and my friends as well, the LFS closer to us were and are cheaper and as well as on-line. Everyone has there own opinion, I only been there once, maybe I should take another drive over there and check it out. Maybe things were just bumped up in prices at that time because of the War, and things were more hard to come bye.............

cadbury, i guess it's possible, but they breed their own percs, so i still am surprised by that...mostly because the majority of their business is wholesale so they wouldn't be able to get away with exorbitant pricing even if they wanted too! but hey, everyone's experience is different--i just really cringe when i hear people steer folk away from tropicorium, cause even if you're just there browsing, there's really nothing like it in the midwest as far as i know--and i have been to plenty of 'nice' shops...

The 99 dollar percs were probably a mated pair.
There is also another store in Lansing off the Okemos Rd Exit 110 off I-96 called Preuss' Animal House or something like that. Somewhat expensive, however they have bad ass fish and corals. Pretty big selection of livestock. They also have very smart staff from the three times I've been there. It's about an hour from Novi. They always have some rare angels/tangs/triggers or something you haven't seen before. Seeing it is worth the drive.

1.) Kee's very good store and knowledgable staff, BUT very much over-priced, thats why they have 15 to 20% off coupons in mailers. Way overpriced!
-
3.) Aquatic Discoveries 15 and Ryan I think is the best in the area, very knowledgeable staff and very good service and prices for the area.
-
4.) Tropicorium is really cool, but once again over-priced, a pair of baby Percs were $99.
-
5.) Green woods is okey, but a little sketchy, kind of run down and not the best service, the place just lost it the passed 10 years.

See i thought Kee's prices weren't all that bad, i was blown away about how expensive Aquatic discoveries was, i went again today and was shocked at how expensive they were...they did have an absolutely gorgeous mandarin though. they also have alot of bigger fish in those tight lil tanks and they didn't seem happy about their living arraignments.
I don't know that i would go back to greenwoods...they've got a ton of tanks and only like half of them are in use and most are packed with fish.
Kees just seemed more knowledgeable

Pruess in Lansing isn't too bad at all, they have some pretty cool stuff and the staff is good too, but I think that they are a little pricey...You can get same same dry goods online for half the price. But for corals and exotic fish they take the cake. I've been around macomb, wayne, and oakland counties too. I think there is a store downriver in like Gibralter or something thats pretty good. I cannot remember the name though, may want to check it out.
