Hey Cordell,
I have 270lbs of live sand from the Keys that I am trying to get rid of. I live in New Orleans. I'm getting out of the hobby. Let me know if you are interested.

man if only I would have known that a few weeks ago.. got 120lb aragonite in there now. But I do need a good bit more of live sand.. was aiming for around 160lb total.. so about 40-50lb? I know I couldn't drive THAT far.. I really don't even have any days off that I could, between walmart and the work I do at the LFS. But if you could ship, I think regular ground would get here pretty quick.. or second day. What else do you have that you want to sell? Any rocks? If you do by chance, I might could get myself a day off somehow! But anyways.. maybe we can work out some shipping or something for the sand, if you will sell a part of it instead of all.
thanks!

I'll ship, but at the buyers expense. All I have left is LS, lightining, acrylic sump, tank, stand, and canopy.

what's the sand look like? Is it dark or white? Do you have any life crawling around in it ?
I'd take care of the shipping of course.. :D

The Live sand is harvested in the keys. The sand is pure white and 99.5% calcareous, this means no silica, which can scratch your glass or acrylic tank, or cause diatom blooms. The Sand has a fine grain size, about 1.0 to 2.0mm. which is perfect for a natural looking salt water reef system.

It's a 120 gallon, Reef Ready with built-in overflow, painted backing, plumbing included. I'm asking $600 for the Tank, Stand, and Canopy. $200 for the sump.
