LFS R-tards

I went to my LFS today and had my water tested and they said everything was perfect. Then I asked them to fill my containers with saltwater so I could do a water change. They said I should only do a water change when my parameters are out of wack.

They also told me not to believe anything people say on forums like this one.

That is my LFS for you.

Regular water changes are Preventive Maintenance. Like an oil change in a car, you don't wait for problems and then react.

Great Comparison. Another purpose of water changes is to replenish used up trace elements.

Wow, sounds like you buy your change water premixed from them. Can't believe they wouldn't recommend water changes, first off to get you to stop at the store on a regular basis and at least as a good maintenance practice. Not business minded anyway -- Are you sure it's RO and not just TAP they use....

I'll mention that they should change their name to that next time I go their.
And yes I am sure it is R/O water I looked at their set up.

As lazy as they sound, next time I go I would ask them if the have a TDS meter and test out their RO water. If they don't belive in waterchanges until there is a problem they may not change their RO Filters until there is a problem.
RO Filters need to be changed regularly, if not, after time they start to release the junk out of the filters,then the water that is coming out is actually worse than tap water. Just a thought.

lol all i have to say is i do water changes.
And imo do not go to that lfs.(or go and ask what about all or this)...
I know i starter all of this sorry.
