Im sure its not just me. I am SO fed up with all the liars in the news lately. OH where should I start....Senator Larry Craig...bathroom etequit...I mean who doesnt try to put the moves on the person in the next stall..
First he says he pleaded guilty to "get this all behind me" then changes his story. Then we got Michael Vick.... OK he admits to the dog fighting and "putting down" a few dogs.....but not betting or gambling on the fights........
I guess you gotta draw the line somewhere.
Lets see...oh..Lisa Nowack ( physco astronaut lady) Now she wants to plead "temporary insanity" for what she did,....Bill Clinton..I did not have sexual relations with that woman.... I could go on for ever....I just wish once...SOMEBODY would take responsibility for there own actions. Just once I would like somebody to say....Yeah, I screwed up...nobodys fault but my own.....sorry about that. Instead of blaming it on abuse, alcohol, etc... Seems everybody that gets "caught" enters REHAB or finds Jesus... I think America is to smart to keep falling for the same old stories....well I am.

totally agree with you personal responcability is becoming a myth, i personally had a situation in early 2005 i caught my ex with another man in bed they were sleeping i was in a rage i woke the guy up with my big knife at his throat i could of killed him but i thought of my son and i wasn't going to be a prison dad, so i ran him off and then i smoked some weed, instead of hiding it i told my boss who immediately set me up with rehab i was suspended for 6 months from a very good job but i did stand up on my own accord without being caught first i probably would not of been caught at all but i am not one to hide stuff those of you who read my threads know i am quite the open person i am trying to teach the young one's about honesty sometimes that isn't easy though....tobin

all those thoughts crossed my mind several times trust me on that, but i am in a much better relationship now, that female dog did run out of state with my son though and when i'm better i will go for custody and i'm pretty sure i'll win this time, the judge did not here a word i said in the first trial, there will be a lawyer in my corner next time and i do have stuff from cps against her among other things so it will all work out when the time is right...tobin

You're suprised that all the officials and people in the public spotlight lie. This isn't a new thing it's always happening. We are such a pussified nation now that we know we can throw out some BS to the public they're going to buy it and all we're going to get is a slap on the wrists. Until the "moral majority" grow a brain we aren't going to get away from this.

No, I am not suprised. Just tired of it. Nobodys "sorry" until they get caught. Doesnt matter who...Proffesinal athletes,Politicians, actors, priests, and just regular people like you and me. But when they get busted for something, they almost always blame the "problem" on something else....Heres a list..just pick the appropriate excuse. I was abused as a child, alcohol, drugs,Im not sure what my trainer was giving me (steroids),temporary insanity, there are pleanty more..but you get the idea.

She took your kids too? Man... Thats good self restraint. I think if it was my ex she may have suffered a horrible hunting accident at this point.

Not to press buttons, but do you have to be in remission before you go for custody or is just a personal choice. I would think, and I could be wrong, that a judge would want you to be in remission first.

yeah i will have to be in remission first that is why i say it might take a bit, in about 2 months i go to dallas for a bone marrow transplant (my own marrow is in layman terms supercharged, they take me to near death that kills the cancer, then they put my supercharged marrow back in to absorb the lethal dose of chemo, i hear the results are excellant, but it is painful, oh well) this is a 4-6 week treatment so theoretically in 6 months i can fight for my son...tobin

Wow, i just spent the last hour reading through this thread. there were alot of solid points and i have learned alot through all of this rhetoric.
First off, Tobin you are a strong individual that has been "crapped on by life," I wish u only the best in the future.
I agree with the point that responsible citizens that are familiar with guns should be able to carry them and it should not be an extreme task.
next, whoever said the comment about gun supporters respecting the anti- gun supporters & vice versa, nailed this topic right on the head! We need to not get involved in others decisions, just respect them unless they affect you.
I personally believe that america is goin to heck & that wee need more people like reefraff, deltablack and seasalt to make this country the great nation it used to be.
Thats my 2 cents, take it or leave it.

WE ALL HAVE SINS WE WISH NOBODY EVER KNEW! WHY SHOULD THOSE WHO THE PUBLIC KNOW ABOUT BE TREATED DIFFERENTLY OR EXPECTED TO BE DIFFERENT? YOU TOBIN, i AM GLAD YOU SMOKED A NUMBER INSTEAD OF COMMITING SOME UNNESSECARY CRIME. NOW "NORMAL" HAS ANOTHER THING TO SAY IN COURT. HOWEVER, WE ARE ALL LIARS, CHEATERS, AND IN THE LONG RUN ARE ONLY LOOKING FOR OUR OWN FULFILLMENT. ANYONE WHO SAYS OTHERWISE IS A DUMBASS, AND WHOEVER THINKS THEY HAVE NEVER COMMITED SOME CRIME AGAINST HUMANITY IS EVEN DUMBER. AS WELL, HOW CAN WE POSSIBLY EXPECT ANYONE TO BE BETTER THAN OURSELVES? WE ALL KNOW WHAT IT IS TO BE HUMAN, OR WE ARE THE WORST KIND OF PERSON: THAT WHICH CAN CARE FOR NOTHING BUT THEMSELF, NOT KNOW THE DIFFERENCE, AND NOT DO ANYTHING TO CHANGE WITH THE HOPES OF A BETTE OUTCOME FOR ALL!.

your an idiot, u missed the point completely. we know we all make mistakes, but it takes a Real person to man up and admit they made the mistake, it is so easy this day & age to just blame it on something else. Thats what we were getting at, read through everything before u make a counter-argument otherwise u just sound stupid.
