Whatever you decide, just be prepared for all the kids in their ricers (settle down) to want to see what they can do against you. I usually just smile at them and ease out. But sometimes I slip in the "Hyde" mode and have some fun. It's fun to just pace them (which isn't much more than easing of the line) and then when they think they are actually keeping up, leave them like they hit the brakes. The look on their face is priceless.
Now my flamesuit is in the cleaners so don't light up the torches. I know there are some fast ricers out there, but that is the exception, not the rule. I remember being a teenager driving around in my '73 firebird thinking I had a fast car. I'm amazed I thought that looking back. The fun of being young.
Now the mustangs are another story. Most of them know they don't have a chance and show respect. The one that pulls up beside you and tries you is one of two types; the guy who just bought a new cobra and hasn't learned yet (it's close, but not there. Driver comes into play alot here) and the guy who has been moving parts around under the hood and is going to blow your arse away unless you've been moving parts around also. Your call on that one.
Again, no offense to anyone.
