FINALLY...after laying on the floor in front of my refuge,
, looking for ANY sign of movement (not from my snails) I finally see some pods....YAYYY

There were some good size ones on the walls, and I saw some itty bitty ones on the chaeto too..
How long before they grow bigger? AND...then how can I get them in the DT? (or do they find their own way..lol)
This is so exciting...
yeah I'm crazy

This is so funny. I just installed my refugium and ive been laying on the floor looking for pods. I have not seen any yet. Do you have to add them or to they just start to show up. I have chaeto and other plants. How long has your refugium been up and running?

My tank itself is 8 months old..the refuge is 3-4 weeks, just got the chaeto last week. I had a bunch in the dt, so I am sure that helped.

Nice! My tank had been running for about 3 yrs but just changed my filtration to sump/refugium adhi model 45. Its only been running for 3 days. I see some little tiny bugs on the glass moving. I guess it just takes a little time. What kind of substrate are you using. I juts put in some live sand but i wish i would put some miracle mud in.

... I spend hours laying on the floor looking at my refuge!
I have noticed many different types of copepods, and amphipods in there, some large, some small. The numbers tend to flux, but i havent been OCD enough(yet) to track when they are greater numbers than other times. I assume this has to do with reproductive and lyfe cycles.
Lots of fun watching down there!
