Just got my RO/DI unit up and running. I decided to take it a step further and automate everything. See what you think.
No more need to lug these things back and forth to the lfs...good riddance
Here's the RO/DI. I installed it in the basement, in a room directly below the tank.
Here's the new setup. I piped both fresh and salt water up thru the floor.
Or, I can still get it the old fashion way into jugs.
Upstairs, in the cabinets below the tank, both salt & fresh water are wired to individual switches. Fresh goes into the 20 gal. top off tank, salt water into the 65 gal sump during water changes.
A drain I installed in the floor is for water changes. Drain leads to the basement, picking up waste from RO unit, then exits the house, underground to the woods.
