Depends, what size tank, what wattage bulbs, how deep is the tank?

For a 55G you probably need a good 6 bulbs or 8
BJ...on your 28G the 4 bulb should be fine....I have a 4 bulb on my 29G and keep sps, maxima clam, mini anemones etc etc....just plan on sps on top

If it is a standard 55 gallon it is 48 inches long. If the lights are 48 inches then the Nova Extreme T5 4 bulb is 4x54 watts. I would say not enough light to keep SPS on any rockwork except the top 1/4 of the tank.

i didnt know you had sps in that tank also. Hm, never knew you could do so much with T5!
Gotta know you wattage too. Some T5 bulbs are very low wattage like power compacts.
