Light bulb pissing me off bad!

Well one of my lights keeps turning off and on and I have tried everything on how to keep it on!!!!!!! I unscrewed and screwed about 20 times and it keep sgoing off and on!!!!!! :mad: :mad: :mad: What do i do?

What kind of ballast are you running? I have a IceCap 660 and if any of the bulbs are bad or any of the conections are bad it will shut off as soon as it starts up.

I have a corallife bulb. I dont now what you mean by ballast but if its where the bulb goes in i dont know what kind it is, it came with the tank.

The ballast is the part that actually runs the light. If the light came with the tank it is probebly a normal output floresent. In that case, a blinking light could mean a bad bulb or ballast. The easiest way to check would be to try another bulb. Sorry I couldn't be any more help.

I was reading that you say you've screwed the bulb in and out. Sorry I'm asking this so may posts in but is your bulb a conventional style bulb or a long skinny bulb with pins on the end? Either way it could be your connection, bulb or power supply.
