Light configration

has anyone done any testing on light config, in regards to pc's
i have 3 rows front to back , pf pc lights and 2 wide total of 6 bulbs
4 bulbs 10k
2 bulbs 7200 blue's
i intially thought blue's in center
but now i am thinking maybe blue's in front and whites in center and back rows
any one have any experience before i go switching around bubls all night

I think if you put the 2 blues in the ceneter then it would make an area in your tank that is more blue then others. That tends to happen with the 7200K PCs(they tend to give off a real BLUE look). If I were you I would put them like this.
White, White, Blue
Blue, White, White

Hey Mark,
If you can control each pair, on/off, it's easier to fiddle around with bulb combo's to see what the coverage of the tank is with each combination.
Personally I've played around with various configurations, and found that in my tanks - it pretty much always ended up as what ever "looked" good to me. The coverage was sorta the same no matter what.
But in a larger tank - I can see how bulb placement may make a considerable difference.
Any "testing" I do is purely for aesthetics.

Why don't you try stagering them like this. In your front row have a blue on the right and a white on the left. Second row opposite blue on the left and white on the right.

thanks everyone, guess with all the rain we are supposed to get here in NJ this weekend i will have plenty of time to try out the different possabilties
