Light Heating Problem-Need Advice

I just got in my 260watt P.C. for my 55 gallon. The light looks great and the lunars are awesome, but compared to my stock lights, these things run hot. The shield doesn't really get hot, but the aluminum housing does. I was wondering if anybody knew any way that I could cool this thing down, or if maybe it was designed to run like this. With this company's history though (Odyssea), i don't want to burn my house down.

I have the same fixture,
it was a big step up from the t-8 it replaced. Wait till you go to a quality MH fixture, it will blind you. For the money Odesey are a decent stepping stone, don't use their bulbs when it comes time to replace them. Buy a good quality bulb. I have since moved on to an orbit mh t5 setup. Don't worry about the heat, mine got very hot and it was inside a hood, oh yea the fans will stop working after a while.

As a college student, I'm very impressed with the unit for the money. I can't even hear the fans running as of now, maybe they are already broke? lol. Could I set a couple of mini fans up near it to run some air over it? I've heard of ppl even installing computer fans in them. Any suggestions?
