I have a new MH hood system... I want to set it up on a timer but wondering where everyone got theres.
I will need to have 4 plugs...2 for the MH's 1 for the 2 VHOS and 1 for the Fan.
I can't find any...maybe not looking hard enough. Let me know.
Thanks.

So will I need one timer then per plug? I was hoping there was a timer unit that I could just plug multiple units into...
Let me know! Thanks again!

It works very good, I have it on 2 250w M/H
with 4 110 super acts,Also set up for my moonlights and lights for my fuge..

Do they plug into a power strip or something? I only have one outlet to run my tank off of, these things look really cool... do you have a pic of your setup?

Does the Radio Shack unit work like the X10 on an Aquacontroller? I tried finding modules on their site but didn't have any luck. Where can they be found and how much do they cost?
Back to the original post, I use a simple Intermatic heavy-duty three pronged analog timer that I bought at Home Depot for 6 or 7 bucks. A power strip is plugged into it and the MH and fans are plugged into that powerstrip. I have another timer that operates my actinic lights on a dawn/dusk simulation (they come on two hours before the MH, go off when the MH come on, come back on right before the MH go off, and finally turn off two hours after the MH went off).

I got that gadget that CoraLife puts out...I think it's fairly new, cost about $18. It has worked great so far, of course I've only had my tank set up for 2 weeks. it has 2 plugs for "daytime", 2 plugs for "nighttime" and 4 plugs that run constantly. depending on heaters, lights, powerheads, etc, you may need more, but it's worked good for me...I have 3 powerheads, lights, lunar lights, and I did have a heater (turned it off).
