The upgrade would provide be with 72 watts of pc. Would this provide me wiht enough light for LPS, anemones?

I have a BTA under 48 watts of PC in a 12g cube. I was told to keep it fed well and stay on top of my water. So far its going great! Your going to have alot of replies telling you its impossible. Its definately not recommended but no impossible. My opinion is that you don't need a halide. I would just be cautious with what you put into your tank...start small with your additions.
Enjoy!

Yeah i was thinking that a BTA would be possible if cared for right and placed near the top, thanks for the advice everyone.
As for the LPS?

It depends what kind of lps, as some are pretty delicate. Acans, frogspawn and most other common Lps should do fine in the center to top column of the tank.
