i have pcs and i know your not supposed to use the watts per gallon method. however i have to 24" fixtures with 4x 65 on each fixture, on a 100 gallon. my question is, would this be 260 watts per gallon or 520 watts per gallon??

520 watts total , not per gallon . That is just a bit over 5 watts per gallon .

so then let me ask you then, i have a 80 gallon reef tank with 260 watts pc, if i add another 4x65 watt fixture to the tank is that gonna make a diff to keep clams, cause from what i hear its about the intensity of the light not the wattage when it comes to PC ***)

depends how the lights are... If you have a 48" tank with 1 24" on 1 side and 1 24" on the other side you technically have 260watts over
each 50gals... which is a lil over 2.5watts per gallon...
If your tank is not 48" long and you have the lights staggered over the top or parallel then you may have a little more watts per gallon but it wont be 520watts and it wont be distributed evenly.. And the intensity at the bottom wont be as much...
