Lighting 72G

I'm taking on my brothers 72g Bow Front and was wondering how to go about the lighting (Reef)... The tank has the plastic support right down the middle and will block the light coming from my metal halide. Can anyone give me some suggestions as to how i should go about this? There is a picture that is a simple illustration of how the support works... Thanks, Lance

my brother had a Metal Halide hanging down the center... and i remember that support cut about 2-3 inches of light down the middle and i dont really want that lol...

I'm debating having two metal halides placed on each side of the support, but I dunno...wondering about other options. I suppose i can go about it the way you mentioned though if anyone else doesn't have suggestions... thanks
ADD: i only have a 150 watt metal halide anyway for that big of a tank so the possibility of 2 seems decent... just dunno about the cost of electricity lol

This is how I'm thinking about going about it (picture below)
ADD: Keep in mind if there is a better way to go about it let me know... I plan on keeping sps's and clams, I'm not sure if even 2x150w metal halides would be efficient enough... tank is 25"s in depth... I don't mind starting from scratch... Any lighting suggestions would help..

if the clam is going to be on the substrate, then aim for 2x250w mh. 150w mh is for tank w depth of less than 18.
