Lighting a 46G Bow

Let me start off saying that "I'm CHEAP!"
I would like to find a better light than I already have for my FOWLR tank. At this time, I am using a 24" single tube florescent light fixture that lays directly on top of the glass top of my aquarium.
I would like to find a better and brighter light fixture that might give my LR some more color. I was told to look towards a power compact...
Any help would be appreciated!

yeah, you can get a compact flourescent with 2 55 watt bulbs or 2 65 watt bulbs... since it's fish only, just go for the 10k... are you planning on corals?

I see a new 36" Jebo 55W X 2 on ---- for about $50 with the bulbs...
Is this a piece of crap?
I am not planning on corals for a while...I just started the tank 4 months ago.

i actually got one about six months ago.. so far soo good.. use it as supplemental lighting.. if cheap is what you want, go for it.. just be advised that the bulbs are a lil smaller than normal ones, so i've bought the same bulbs from the same seller...
