Lighting and Beginning Reef Question.

I have a 29 gallon tank that is about 30 inches long. Trying to figure out a good lighting set up so i can start trying corals out.
Also if anyone can name some good beginner corals i would appreciate it.

zoas are nice and easy
and for lighting, try the nova sundial by current usa, its 30" fixture is 4x24w T5HO individually relfected bulbs, runs about 190 bucks new

Have you ever had zoas if not how could you say they are qoute nice and easy? please . As far as im aware you have a 20 gallon still cycling and never had a tank before that. Even you with your infinite knowledge may kill off every zoa you try. 2700 posts before you own a fish or coral you take doing your homework way to seriously dude

for the 29 tank look into a aqua medic 150 or 250 mh pendant they can be found used from a reasonable price on that e auction place. plus when u end up getting a bigger tank and you will you can keep using it and its suitable for most if not all corals.

google beginners frag pack of coral you'll find some packages just make sure you read up on em

Your question really depends on what your end game might be. But I'll take a stab at it anyway.
For the beginner reef aquarium, there are a number of Soft Corals, that require less light and less than perfect water quality standardsand are therfore "easier" to care for.
Zoanthids
Musroom coral
Star polyps
Daisy polyps

I'm thinking about Coralife Lunar Aqualights Compact Fluorescent Strip Lights 30inches long.
Would that be enough?

That would be a good lighting fixture for the coral I listed above. You could even get into some LPS coral and keep them healthy.
